Yesterday, October 30th, and again today, October 31st, the Manchester Fire Department is responding to assist the Middleton Fire Department in combating a brush fire that has grown to over 230 acres. Lt. Happel and Firefighter Kenyon, operating Squad 1 and 2, will support the suppression efforts, while Chief McNeilly assists in operations from the command center. Incidents of this magnitude require mutual aid partners to collaborate effectively in order to gain control. Manchester Fire would like to remind everyone to be cautious of the dryness in our wooded areas, particularly as we approach Halloween night with beautiful weather conditions.
