The Manchester Fire Department is proud to provide exceptional out-of-hospital care. Our dual role Firefighter / Paramedics make up the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Division operating at the Advanced Life Support Level (ALS). The department currently operates one ALS transporting ambulance and two non-transporting units. The department is comprised of 2 First Responders, 3 EMT Basics, and 18 Paramedics. All EMS vehicles are outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, supplies, and medical bags. Firefighters perform initial patient assessment, treat any immediate life-threatening illness and/or injury, and transport the patient to definitive care.
Our providers continuously train to keep up with the latest trends and technologies in the field of pre-hospital medicine. The Manchester Fire Department prides itself that our members have always placed our patient’s concerns and well-being first, treating patients as if they are our own family members.
