The Manchester-by-the-Sea Fire Department and Essex Fire Department are proud to announce the award of regional grant funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for FY2025!
✅ $6,194.67 awarded for the Student Awareness of Fire Education (SAFE) Program
✅ $4,000.00 awarded for the Senior SAFE Program
These critical funds support fire safety education for our youth and senior citizens—two of our most vulnerable populations. This joint application reflects the strong regional partnership between Manchester and Essex Fire Departments in promoting public safety and fire prevention.
These funds will help expand our lock box program for senior residents—improving emergency access and safety—and will allow our public safety educators to deliver fire safety lessons directly in local classrooms, continuing our mission to build a culture of safety from an early age.
