Did you know that the Massachusetts Fire Code requires quarterly fire drills at certain occupancies, including schools?
Yesterday, Manchester Fire and Essex Fire worked collaboratively to conduct fire drills at our regional schools. Because both departments automatically respond to incidents at these facilities, joint drills like these are essential. They allow our firefighters to refamiliarize themselves with the buildings while strengthening coordination between departments.
By training together, we ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff—and a coordinated, effective response should an emergency occur.
