As we prepare to welcome an Assistant Chief in 2026 — thanks to the continued support of Manchester residents — our department has continued to strive to be fiscally responsible in meeting our operational needs. To support this goal, we identified an older police cruiser that was being turned in and repurposed it.
Cape Ann Auto Body generously donated their time and work to transform the vehicle’s white doors to black, giving it a clean, professional look at no cost to the Town. Their generosity and craftsmanship helped us stretch taxpayer dollars while still ensuring our future leadership is properly equipped.
The refurbished vehicle will serve as the Assistant Chief’s car, and we are hopeful it will provide several dependable years of service.
