The Operations Division is led by the Officers of each group who are supported by the Training Coordinator and the EMS Coordinator. Services provided include:
- Fire Suppression
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) Emergency Medical Services
- Rescue Response including Extrication and Rope Rescue.
- Hazardous Material Response
- Marine Fire and Rescue Response.
The Operation Division’s primary focus is to protect the lives and property of the citizens and visitors of Manchester. This is maintained through a commitment to the health, wellness, safety, and operational readiness of the division’s personnel. The department performs its purpose from a single fire station located at 12 School Street.
The department apparatus includes 1 Engine, 1 Ladder (Quint), 1 Ambulance, 1 Brush Truck, 2 Marine Units, 1 UTV, and 2 Command Vehicles.
Operations personnel are assigned to one of four shifts, working a 24hrs on, 24hrs off, 24hrs on, followed by 5 days off.
