Training Division

The Training Division is overseen by Firefighter Bill Kenyon, the department’s Training Coordinator. The Training Division is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing a comprehensive training program for the Fire Department. Firefighting is an occupation that requires constant review and enhancement of skills. The division training focuses on structural firefighting, hazardous materials, motor vehicle accidents, unconventional rescues, and joint agency trainings. Our comprehensive training schedule ensures that all Firefighters are in compliance with standards set forth by NFPA 1001 regarding minimum training standards for interior structural firefighting, as well as training in other areas of operation.
