Did you know that every service providing Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) care is required to undergo an annual, on-site inspection by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health – Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS)?
Last Friday, the Manchester Fire Department completed our annual OEMS ambulance inspection — and we’re extremely proud to report it was highly successful. Inspectors identified only minor items, limited to a small number of expired consumable supplies, all of which were corrected on the spot with our supply inventory immediately.
These comprehensive inspections evaluate administrative procedures, training documentation, medical equipment, and ambulance vehicles to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety are being met.
This outcome is a direct reflection of the dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail demonstrated by your Firefighters every day — and it would not be possible without the continued support of the Town and the citizens of Manchester, who provide us with the resources and tools needed to do our job safely and effectively.
A big thank you to Firefighter/Paramedic Josiah Peters, the department’s EMS Coordinator, who oversees the delivery of emergency medical services.
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We are proud to serve this community.
