Did you know? Manchester Fire was recently awarded a FEMA Assistance to Firefighters (AFG) Grant for brand-new SCBA air packs back in the Fall—and the delivery timing couldn’t have been better. Our existing air bottles were scheduled to expire this March, making this upgrade truly just in the nick of time.
- All Fulltime and Call Firefighters are currently completing in-service training; all the packs will go into service tomorrow, following the last training session.
- Training is being conducted with support from our vendor, Industrial Protection Services (IPS), who were instrumental in ensuring the rapid delivery of this critical life-safety equipment.

- Total project cost: $273,050
- FEMA AFG funding covered all necessary components
- Town of Manchester match: $13,002.39
