Today, current and retired firefighters, family members, and members of our community gathered at the Firefighters Memorial Lot on Rosedale Avenue for our annual Firefighters Sunday remembrance ceremony.
This longstanding tradition honors the firefighters who answered the call of service before us. We pause to remember their dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to the Town of Manchester, while reflecting on the traditions and values they established that continue to guide our department today.
The Manchester Fire Department is what it is because of those who came before us. They served this community with honor, professionalism, and respect, setting a standard of service that remains the foundation of our organization. As today’s firefighters, we strive each day to uphold those expectations and continue the legacy they left behind.
We thank everyone who joined us in remembrance and in honoring the generations of firefighters whose service helped shape our department and community.
