Manchester Fire & Police Respond to Rollover with Entrapment

At 04:49 this morning, North Shore Regional 911 alerted Manchester Police and Manchester Fire to a motor vehicle rollover on Route 128 South, just south of Pine Street. The incident involved a single vehicle with one occupant trapped inside. As Manchester crews worked on the extrication, Beauport Ambulance was called to the scene to transport the patient. An engine from Wenham was initially requested for additional manpower but was later canceled. The extrication process took approximately 20 minutes. With the help of Manchester Fire, Beauport transported one patient to Beverly Hospital. During this incident, Hamilton provided an engine for station coverage. Manchester Police, Ladder 1, Ambulance 1, Car 2, C1, Massachusetts State Police, State DPW, and Todisco Towing responded to this incident. This incident underscores the importance of Manchester Fire’s continuous training, as we recently completed a session on auto extrication.
