At 1:33 PM this afternoon, February 17th, Manchester Ladder 1 and C1 responded to a working fire at 44 Story Street in Essex, on an automatic aid response. Manchester C1 was the first to arrive on the scene as his residence is nearby. Essex Fire, along with Hamilton and Manchester, launched an aggressive attack on the fire, successfully containing it to the basement. Manchester was covered by Call Firefighters during this incident. All Manchester units cleared the scene at 2:25 PM.
