On behalf of the Manchester-by-the-Sea Fire Department, we would like to sincerely thank the citizens, the Select Board, and the Finance Committee for their overwhelming support during last night’s Town Meeting.
Thanks to your approval, we are able to move forward with several critical initiatives that will strengthen our department and our ability to provide the very best services to the community:
- The establishment of a Deputy Chief position, effective April 2026.
- $54,000 for the second of three payments toward our new cardiac monitors.
- $300,000 toward the purchase of a much-needed new Fire Engine (first of three appropriations).
- $7,175 for a new all-band radio for Engine 1 to enhance communication capabilities.
Your support ensures that we have the personnel, equipment, and resources necessary to continue protecting the lives and property of Manchester’s residents and visitors. We are proud to serve this incredible community and grateful for your investment in our operational capabilities.
